A man stole a Fairfax County police cruiser and then crashed into another cruiser Friday, injuring two officers, authorities in the Virginia county say.

The officers’ injuries are minor, police told WTOP. The suspect was also hurt in the crash but his injuries were also described as minor.

It happened near the Fair Oaks Mall just after 11:30 a.m., when police were investigating another stolen vehicle at the mall. Police said the man then jumped into a police car and crashed into another nearby cruiser.

Officers were quickly able to take the suspect into custody.
