5/30/23 Shorewood, WI – Traffic Stop – Man Steals Squad Car – Captured By Milwaukee Police – Same Man Had A Stolen Milwaukee Squad Car In December 2022 – Second Stolen Squad Car

Shorewood Police Department Officers were conducting a traffic stop Tuesday evening when a man stole their squad car.

It happened at about 5:45 p.m. at East Capitol Drive and North Estabrook Parkway.

The 34-year-old man drove the car to the area of North Fratney Street and East Capitol Drive, where it was recovered undamaged.

The Milwaukee Police Department responded to assist and arrested the man a short time later.

There were no injuries to the officers involved or the suspect, who was turned over to the Shorewood police.

The suspect was positively identified as the same man who stole a Milwaukee squad in December 2022.
