BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials, a California Highway Patrol car was stolen by a woman on Saturday in the Kern River Valley.
Officials said CHP officers arrested the woman, and shortly after, she made her way to the front seat of the patrol car and took off.
It is unknown how far the woman was able to drive before crashing the CHP vehicle.
Officials said KCSO and CHP eventually located the crashed CHP vehicle and took the woman into custody.
