The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says a person has been arrested after a high-speed chase involving a stolen Parkview Police vehicle Friday night.
On Friday, April 26, the FWPD responded to a report of a stolen marked Parkview Police SUV.
FWPD says the stolen vehicle was located after receiving the report, and a traffic stop was attempted.
When the traffic stop for the Parkview Police SUV was unsuccessful, FWPD says a high-speed pursuit was engaged.
FWPD says tire deflation devices were used on the stolen vehicle, and the vehicle came to a stop after entering northbound I-469.
According to FWPD, the driver, identified as Makayla Harris, was not cooperative in exiting the vehicle. FWPD says tear gas was used on Harris, who then exited and was arrested unharmed.
An investigation to this case is ongoing.
