A police squad car was reported stolen Saturday while police were responding to a burglar alarm, officials said.
Officers reported the car missing just after 4 a.m. while they were conducting a premise check for a burglar alarm in the 3500 block of South California Avenue, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.
Shortly after, officers found the empty squad car a few blocks away, Sedevic said.
No one was in custody and few details were available, police said.
