A student who played basketball for Fresno Pacific University has been arrested after Fresno Police say he tried to steal one of their patrol cars while naked.

21-year-old Leonard Young was taken into custody Monday night, hours after he was cut from Fresno Pacific’s team.

Police say Young ran around naked outside a gas station at Chestnut and Bullard, pounding on cars with his fists. They say he also tried to steal a squad car, attacked a police officer and a police dog until he was Tasered three times.

“We are extremely concerned about what happened last evening, and very saddened that it even occurred. At this point Lenny is no longer a member of the team,” said FPU Athletic Director Dennis Janzen.

Investigators say Young may have been high at the time.
