A dramatic chase involving a stolen white Ford F250 unfolded on November 20, 2024, in Laramie County. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report at approximately 5:13 p.m. on the 800 block of South Greeley Highway.
Witnesses identified Mandy Miller as the person who initially stole the truck. Deputies used location tracking to trace the vehicle to Horse Creek Road and Interstate 25. When deputies made contact, the driver attempted to flee.
The chase led to the Scenic Ridge Drive area, where the F250 experienced a tire blowout, forcing it to stop. The driver, Tianna Quin, fled on foot towards a nearby residence. Deputies suspected Quin might commit additional crimes if she reached the home.
As deputies pursued Quin, Miller, who had been hiding in the F250, managed to access a patrol vehicle due to a malfunction. Miller then fled in the stolen patrol car.
Miller approached a resident in the Scenic Ridge area, displaying a firearm taken from the deputy’s vehicle. She demanded the keys to the resident’s car, and the resident complied out of fear.
Law enforcement, including the Wyoming Highway Patrol, quickly disseminated information about the stolen vehicle. They located it at the intersection of Wind Dancer and Iron Mountain Drive. Miller attempted to flee again, but spike strips deployed by the Wyoming Highway Patrol disabled the car.
Both Mandy Miller and Tianna Quin were apprehended without further incident. Miller faces charges including DUI/controlled substance, vehicle theft, aggravated robbery, and fleeing/eluding, along with a warrant from Albany County. Quin was booked on a warrant from Larimer County for vehicle theft, with additional charges pending.
Authorities successfully recovered all stolen vehicles and retrieved the deputy’s weapon. The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Combined Communication Center, and Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations for their assistance.
