A nude man ended up in a jail cell after trying to steal a sheriff’s patrol car in Victorville, investigators say.

Nineteen-year-old San Bernardino resident Daniel Anglin was arrested after deputies spotted his naked body at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in the middle of El Evado and Seneca Roads in Victorville where he tried to carjack two vehicles, sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.

Before that encounter, investigators say, Anglin had broken into an apartment — but fled after being confronted by the resident.

“When deputies…tried to take Anglin into custody, (he) attempted to steal a sheriff’s patrol unit. “Anglin sustained visible injuries prior to his arrest and was transported to a local hospital.”

Then he was booked, investigators say, for investigation of carjacking, burglary — and being under the influence of drugs.
