Daytona Beach police arrested a man who they said stole a police car Wednesday night.

Investigators said the man pulled right over when officers got behind him.

Officers responded to a robbery along North Atlantic Avenue.

One officer jumped out and left the patrol car running without locking it.

Police said the man jumped into the patrol car and fled.

About a mile away, other officers got behind the vehicle with lights and sirens. The suspect pulled over and apologized.
