Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a stolen police vehicle – last spotted in southwest Miami-Dade.
Investigators said the car they are looking for is not a marked police vehicle. It’s a 4-door, dark grey, Dodge Charger with tag number 409XCY. It was a rental car assigned to the officer.
The car was last seen Thursday around 10 p.m. in the area of Miller Drive and 162nd Avenue.
The officer to whom the car was assigned to woke up Friday morning around 8 a.m. and discovered the car was missing, according to Miami Dade Police.
The carjacker reportedly also broke into a Honda Accord and a Jeep Cherokee before stealing the officer’s car. Miami-Dade Police said there was some police property stolen, but are not confirming what was taken.
