A woman who stole a King County sheriff’s deputy’s patrol car then crashed it was arrested late Sunday.

It happened just before 11 p.m. near 1st Avenue SW and SW 132nd Street in Burien.

Deputies were responding to a suspicious activity call when the woman jumped into the patrol car and then crashed it about 30 seconds later. The sheriff’s office did not immediately say what she crashed into.

The woman tried to run but was caught a short time later. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
