An inmate who nicked a police car and took it for a 100-mile joy ride landed back behind bars.
A trustee at the jail, Thomas Masengale grabbed the keys to the cruiser around 7 a.m. Monday morning and took off north toward Anderson County, according to WBIR.
Police tracked him using a device implanted in the cruiser; they say he didn’t put up a fight when they caught up with him and took him back into custody.
The jail has removed his trustee status and he now faces more charges.
