A car being prepared for the Michigan State Police was stolen from the Canfield Equipment on Mound Road north of Eight Mile Road according to the Warren Police.

The car was taken around 6:20 p.m. Sunday.

Security at the business alerted Warren police. A nearby scout car in the area spotted the vehicle.

Police chased the car into Detroit where the driver ditched the car and fled on foot.

Police are looking for the suspect in the area. The recovered vehicle was removed from the scene.
