A handcuffed person allegedly stole a West Virginia State Police cruiser during a traffic stop and arrest in Morgan County this morning, according to a Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher.

State Police had issued a notice to be on the look-out for the vehicle, which Kanawha County Metro 911 received.

The cruiser was allegedly stolen from Berkeley Springs in Morgan County at about 9 a.m.

It is a 2014 Ford Interceptor SUV with blue and gold State Police markings on it. It has the license plate number 513.

The officer’s badge and credentials are in the vehicle, according to a dispatcher. So are a Smith & Wesson AR-15 and a 12-gauge shotgun, so anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to use caution.
