Police are searching for an unmarked squad car stolen late Sunday night in Miller.
Department spokeswoman Cpl. Gabrielle King said the car, a blue 2003 Ford Crown Victoria, was parked at a Chinese restaurant when Sgt. Dan Callahan discovered it missing about 11 p.m.
He had left the car locked in the parking lot of the restaurant, located on U.S. 20 just west of Indiana 51. Gary police issued a bulletin to area departments asking them to look for the vehicle.
Anyone with information about the stolen police car can call the Auto Detail Division at 881-1231.
