02/24/12 Buffalo, NY – 19 Year Old Arrested For Stealing Buffalo Police Car Outside Headquarters – Police Car Burned / Totaled

19 year-old Scott Caldiero of Boston, NY has been arrested and charged in connection with a Buffalo Police Car theft.

The charges include Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Grand Larceny and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Computer Trespassing after Caldiero stole a 2008 marked police car that was parked outside of BPD headquarters. Police agencies recovered the car later that day in burned out condition.

Caldiero was located and questioned by sheriff’s investigators and Buffalo police. He was charged by Det. Sergeant Sherry Kiszewski of the General Investigation Unit and Detective Gary Chwojdak of the Auto Theft Squad.
