Sheboygan, WI - Drug Crazed Woman Breaks Glass Door at Senior Living Facility - Runs Barefoot And Tried To Jump Into Squad Car

A 45-year-old Sheboygan woman was charged Monday after allegedly attempting to jump into the back seat of a squad car while stoned, court records show.

Cynthia F. Canon, of 1714 S. 12th St., also allegedly ran into a senior living facility — breaking glass doors while trying to leave — and sprinted down the street barefoot before making a beeline for the police car, according to a criminal complaint.

Canon is charged with misdemeanor counts of cocaine possession and damage to property and faces a maximum penalty of four years in prison, if convicted. The penalties are enhanced because of Canon’s prior felony conviction for fifth-offense drunken driving.

According to the complaint:

The director of Terrace Estates, 1231 Eisner Ave., called police Thursday after Canon entered the senior living complex and ran into electronic sliding doors on her way out. The impact pushed the door off its track and bent a bolt, causing $500 in damage.

Police arrived to find Canon running southbound on North 13th Street. She ran up to the squad car and tried to jump into the back seat.

Canon smelled strongly of intoxicants and told police she was not afraid of anyone but was freaking out because she was stoned. Baggies of cocaine were found in her pocket and purse.
